Communications Intern

Zurich, Switzerland, Full-time or part-time

Camellia Williams

Camellia Williams

Are you creative and passionate about using your communications and marketing skills to inspire action that accelerates the restoration of nature?

Restor is offering an internship that will support our external communications and marketing efforts. You will develop your content creation skills and gain insight into the challenges and opportunities of working for a small, mission-driven organization.

Summary of role

Working closely with our Communications team you will be responsible for developing stories and content to share on our website and social media channels. This might include writing a blog for our website, identifying compelling stories and gathering images for our Restories collection, or making a short video to share on Twitter or LinkedIn.

This is an ideal position for someone with a curious and creative mind. The stories you tell and the formats you use to tell them will inspire, inform, and connect a growing restoration movement that involves a number of distinct audiences. Interest in ecosystem restoration and conservation is desirable but a passion for developing content that meets our audience’s needs is more important.

If you are currently studying marketing or communications, and are looking for a placement to put your learning into practice, we’d love to hear from you.

The expected duration of this internship is six months and compensation will be offered. The position can be part-time or full-time. The position will be based in our Zurich office on Fraumünsterstrasse.

What can you expect from this internship?

In your first week

We’ll introduce you to the people you’ll be working with and the software and tools you’ll be using. We’ll talk you through our communications strategy and the campaigns we are working on.

In your first month

We’ll get you involved in a range of activities that will help you learn our tone, style, and brand. This might involve writing your first Restory, preparing an update for our monthly newsletter, or writing and scheduling your first tweets! We’ll use this month to identify where your strengths lie and how you can use them to create content that informs, inspires, and delights Restor’s audience.

In months three to six

After three months we expect that you will feel comfortable preparing content for our website and social media channels and learning what works best when it comes to achieving our communication goals. You’ll be identifying stories, testing new ideas and trends, and working with your teammates to make sure Restor’s stories are shared in the right way, with the right audience.
