About this site

This information has been automatically translated.

The Bukit Batu Bajak land is land that was once the base for the struggle of our ancestors to expel the Dutch invaders. This place was also a base for escape in case of Dutch military aggression. As time went by, this location became a place of defense during the PRRI/Permesta era in the late 1950s. In the early 80s, Bukit Batu Baja was used as a coffee plantation until the late 80s. In the 90s it was used as a tobacco and orange plantation, and finally until now it has become dead or neglected land. Therefore, Akmal and the Nagari community around Batu Bajak Hill took the initiative to green this land with shady trees so that in the future this land will become a historical tourist location. Until 2021, LindungiHutan has planted 150 trees in a 0.3 ha area and absorbed 55 kg CO2 ekv.
