Sungai Sintuk is located on the border of Tanjung Puting National Park, whose land was purchased by the Sungai Sintuk Community Group. Efforts are being made to preserve the environment on this land by planting trees, such as jelutung and belangeran trees. In 2019, the Sintuk River experienced a large fire which burned down all the trees planted previously. Therefore, Protect Forest through a nature campaign will plant Nyatoh trees which have benefits in all their parts. Nyatoh wood can be used as a building material, nyatoh fruit can be consumed, the seeds contain fat which can be used for cooking. Nyatoh flowers can also be used as a medicine for diarrhea and the stamens can cure fever. The sap produced by nyatoh wood is called gutta percha, which is useful for making electrical cable insulation and wound protection. Until 2021, LindungiHutan has planted 242 trees in a 0.6 ha area and absorbed 88 kg CO2 ekv.
