Agriculture and Food Research Initiative – Foundational and Applied Science Program

The AFRI Foundational and Applied Science Program funds fundamental and applied research, education, and extension projects across six key agriculture priority areas—including plant and animal health, food safety, bioenergy and natural resources, agricultural systems and technology, and rural economies. Through standard, conference, and enhancement (FASE) grants, it supports efforts to advance sustainable, productive, and economically viable agricultural systems nationwide.
