Awi Poleng is an area in Mekarjaya Village, Bandung Regency which is in the Malabar protected forest area. Several years ago, Awi Poleng became an area with extensive green open land and made this area cool and lush. However, in 2019, a fire occurred in Awi Poleng which burned the trees and desolated the area, leaving very few trees. For this reason, Protect Forest through a nature campaign will plant water apple trees in burned areas and deforested river basins, because these trees will hold water and prevent flooding when the rainy season arrives. Apart from that, water guava trees can produce fruit that can be used by local residents. Until 2021, LindungiHutan has planted 1309 trees in a 3.27 ha area.
